The
Longfellow School was built in 1902 and was both an elementary
school and a high school. It was also called the "Brick
Building."
To
the left of the school is the Morenci Club which excluded
Chicanos.

The
second story was added in 1907 along with a bell tower, and
a fire escape. When the first high school was built, this building
housed upper elementary classes.It
looked like this until it was dismantled in the late sixties
with the rest of the town.
