Shannon Smelter

The Shannon Copper Company ran a leaching, concentrating, and smelting operation on the south side of Clifton. Operations began in 1901 and were sold in 1919 to the Arizona Copper Company. Phelps Dodge later bought it from the Arizona Copper Company.
